D-Wall
We have recently completed a contract of jetting the top of a D-Wall, with approximately 59m3 of concrete to be removed using high pressure water jetting. A D-Wall is a rectangular pile sunk unto the ground. Often, the last section of concrete is contaminated with ground deposits but the main requirements were to create a finished level and expose couplers for the roof section. These walls were extremely strong, with cube results showing 80 newtons. Due to this, pressures of 1550 BAR with flows of 48lt/min were used.
Two teams, using two Tanker based Hydro demolition units made excellent progress, achieving between 8m3 – 10m3 of concrete per week.
